Extends civil service eligibility to pre-72 honor grads

Section 5 is amended to cover honor graduates from school years prior to 1972-73.
These graduates are eligible for civil service eligibility as provided originally by PD No. 907.
The honor graduates must register with the Civil Service Commission or any of its regional offices within six months after the decree’s approval.
The Civil Service Commission is tasked with granting civil service eligibility in accordance with established rules and regulations.

The decree underscores the intent to encourage the recruitment of highly competent individuals into the civil service by recognizing academic excellence.

To receive registrations from honor graduates within the prescribed period.

Eligible honor graduates must actively register within six months following the decree’s effectivity to avail themselves of the benefits.
