Expansion of Healthcare Services

  • The Center is mandated to provide specialized healthcare services including:
    • Obstetrics and gynecology
    • Prenatal, postnatal, and neonatal care
    • Lactation programs
    • Children’s immunization
    • Comprehensive women and pediatric care
    • Treatment for animal bites

Administrative Supervision

  • The Center shall be under the direct supervision and control of the Provincial Government of Davao Occidental.

Funding and Support by the Department of Health (DOH)

  • The Secretary of Health is tasked to incorporate the Center's capital outlay requirements into the DOH’s subsidy program immediately.

Development Planning and Operational Requirements

  • The Chief of Hospital is required to submit a development plan to the DOH outlining:
    • The development goals of the Center
    • Necessary medical personnel
    • Capital outlays and budgetary needs for operation
  • All operational needs must be based on the approved development plan.

Severability Clause

  • If any part of the Act is declared unconstitutional, the rest of the provisions shall remain effective and enforceable.

Repealing and Modifying Conflicting Laws

  • All laws, decrees, executive orders, issuances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
