Issuing authority and supervision
- A school of arts and trades is established under the direct supervision of the Director of Vocational Education.
- The school is to be known as the Zamboanga del Sur School of Arts and Trades (Section 1).
School programs and phased curriculum
- The school provides a general education curriculum with practical arts during the first and second years (Section 1).
- The school provides a vocational education curriculum during the third and fourth years (Section 1).
- The school offers short vocational courses to train for vocations needed in the locality (Section 1).
- Short vocational courses are open to elementary school graduates (Section 1).
- The school must open, as soon as feasible, two-year post secondary technical courses (Section 1).
Rules and regulations for implementation
- The Director of Vocational Education must issue rules and regulations necessary to carry out the purpose of the Act (Section 2).
Appropriation and funding coverage
- Section 3 appropriates PHP 200,000 from funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
- The appropriation covers the school’s establishment, operation and maintenance during fiscal year nineteen hundred seventy-one (Section 3).
- For subsequent years, sums needed for operation and maintenance must be included in the annual General Appropriation Act (Section 3).
