Funding and Appropriations
- Initial funding for the hospital's establishment comes from appropriations authorized under the Fiscal Year 1989 General Appropriations Act.
- Subsequent operational and maintenance costs shall be financed through annual appropriations included in the General Appropriations Act.
Pre-construction Requirements
- Prior to construction, the Secretary of Health must issue a written assurance.
- This assurance confirms the appointment of hospital personnel.
- It also confirms that adequate funds for the maintenance and operation of the hospital have been appropriated.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act takes effect immediately upon its approval by the President of the Philippines.
Legislative Approval
- The Act was finally passed by both the House of Representatives and the Senate on December 22, 1989.
- It was signed into law on March 9, 1990, by the President of the Philippines.
