The Presidential Award for Child Friendly Municipalities and Cities in the Philippines is established to recognize and support local government units in promoting and protecting children's rights, with national awardees receiving a trophy, citation, and cash prize for projects benefiting children.

Award categories and coverage

  • The NHI recommends final approval of the designs to the Office of the President under Section 5.
  • After approval, the approved design is returned to the NHI for proper recording in the National Registry of Heraldic Devices under Section 5.

Effectivity and implementation timeline

  • Section 6 provides that Executive Order No. 184 takes effect immediately.
