Construction of Freedom House
- A Freedom House shall be constructed on any vacant area within the donated land.
- The Freedom House will depict, sequentially, key historical events:
- The Philippine Revolution against Spain
- The Philippine-American War
- The peaceful struggles of the Philippines for independence
- The historical narrative culminates with the formal recognition of Philippine independence on July 4, 1946.
Appropriation of Funds and Expenses
- An initial appropriation of one million pesos is authorized for fiscal year 1965.
- The funding covers:
- Repair of the existing Aguinaldo house
- Landscaping of the shrine grounds
- Acquisition of adjacent lots by negotiation or expropriation
- Construction of a park within the shrine area
- Payment of salaries for necessary personnel managing the shrine
- Subsequent maintenance costs shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval.
- Approved on June 18, 1964.
