Implementation Authority

The Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) is charged with the implementation of the Act following its approval.

Transfer of Personnel, Assets, and Records

All personnel from the annex, including teachers and administrative staff, are transferred to the newly created Datu Piang National High School.
Assets and liabilities of the annex become the responsibility of the Datu Piang National High School.
Records maintained by the annex are also transferred accordingly.

Funding and Appropriations

Initial funding required to implement the Act shall come from the current year's appropriations allotted to the Maguindanao National High School within the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Subsequent funding for operation and maintenance of Datu Piang National High School will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act (GAA).

Effectivity

The law takes effect immediately upon its approval by the President of the Philippines.

The Act was passed by the House of Representatives on September 27, 1994 and by the Senate on November 15, 1994.
The law was approved by then-President Fidel V. Ramos on January 21, 1995.
