Development planning for future expansions
- Section 2 requires that any future increase in bed capacity, healthcare facilities, service capability, and human resource complement be based on the hospital development plan.

Repeal of inconsistent laws
- Section 5 repeals or modifies accordingly all laws, executive orders, issuances, rules and regulations that are inconsistent with this Act.
- Section 5 applies the repeal or modification to inconsistent provisions only, with effect in accordance with the Act’s terms.
Enactment approval and legislative timeline
- The Act is Republic Act No. 11720, titled “AN ACT ESTABLISHING IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BOCAUE, PROVINCE OF BULACAN, A GENERAL HOSPITAL TO BE KNOWN AS THE JONI VILLANUEVA GENERAL HOSPITAL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.”
- The Act is approved on April 29, 2022, and becomes operative under Section 6 after publication requirements are met.
- The Act originated in the House of Representatives, was passed by the House on February 17, 2021, and was passed by the Senate on January 31, 2022.
