Coordination, facilities, and operating guidelines
- Section 2 authorizes the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Regional Office to assist in the establishment and maintenance of necessary facilities and equipment to implement the Act’s intents and purposes.
- Section 2 requires coordination with the City Government of Puerto Princesa and the Provincial Government of Palawan.
- Section 2 directs the Regional LTFRB Region IV to formulate operating guidelines recommended by the Department of Transportation for proper implementation of the prescribed rules and regulations governing proceedings involving public land transportation services in the Province of Palawan.
Funding inclusion in DOT program
- Section 3 requires the Secretary of Transportation to include in the Department’s program the funding requirements for the establishment and operationalization of the extension office in Palawan.
Effectivity and publication rule
- Section 4 provides that the Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
- The Act was approved by lapse into law on May 29, 2022, without the signature of the President, under Article VI, Section 27(1) of the Constitution.
