Complementary Personnel and Salaries

  • Other personnel include:
    • Chief Records Clerk and Chief Clerk: PHP 4,200 per annum each
    • Three Senior Clerks: PHP 3,720 per annum each
    • Senior Stenographer: PHP 3,600 per annum
    • Junior Stenographer: PHP 3,000 per annum
    • Twelve Typists: PHP 2,400 per annum each
    • Six Filing Clerks: PHP 2,400 per annum each
    • Two Janitor-Messengers: PHP 2,160 per annum each

Organizational Structure and Flexibility

  • The Secretary of Justice may organize the Board into divisions and sections as needed for efficiency.
  • Each division or section may be headed by any officer of the Board designated by the Secretary.

Salary Rates and Employment Security

  • Salary rates prescribed by this Act override contrary laws, rules, or regulations.
  • Incumbent officers and employees as of the Act's passage cannot be removed or demoted without just cause and due process.
  • All existing parole officers are eligible for appointment to new or existing positions under the Act.

Appropriations and Operating Expenses

  • In addition to the General Appropriations Act, necessary funds for salaries, maintenance, travel, and equipment are appropriated from the National Treasury.
  • Future appropriations for salaries and expenses of the Board will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Repeal of Conflicting Laws and Effectivity

  • All laws, Executive orders, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are repealed or modified accordingly.
  • The Act took effect upon approval on June 18, 1964.
