Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records
- All personnel belonging to the Poblacion Annex are transferred to the newly independent Dupax del Norte National High School.
- All assets and properties previously under the Poblacion Annex are transferred and absorbed by the newly converted school.
- Liabilities and records related to the Poblacion Annex are likewise transferred to and assumed by the independent national high school.
Incorporation into Department of Education Programs and Funding
- The Secretary of Education is mandated to immediately operationalize the newly converted Dupax del Norte National High School.
- For the current fiscal year, funding appropriated to the mother school (now Lamo National High School) remains with it and does not transfer to the new school.
- Thereafter, appropriations for both schools will be included separately in the annual General Appropriations Act to support their operations.
Repeal of Previous Republic Act
- Republic Act No. 9779, which formerly changed the name of Lamo National High School to Dupax del Norte National High School, is repealed by this law.
Effectivity and Publication
- The law shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication.
- Publication may be made in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
Legislative and Executive Enactment
- The law was passed by the House of Representatives on February 23, 2015, and by the Senate on February 2, 2016.
- The President of the Philippines approved the act on May 11, 2016.
