Coordination and Consistency of Transportation Projects
- Requires all concerned agencies to submit their major transportation project proposals to the DOTC.
- Ensures that these proposals align with the DOTC-maintained master plans for each mode of transportation.
- Major projects are defined as those involving the construction/installation of new facilities funded by foreign Official Development Assistance (ODA), implemented as Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) projects, or locally funded projects costing over P300 million.
Development and Maintenance of Master Plans
- DOTC is mandated to develop and maintain master plans for each transportation mode.
- These master plans provide a framework for the development plans of other related agencies.
- Ensures the coherent and efficient use of resources in transportation infrastructure development.
Issuance of Guidelines for Implementation
- The DOTC is required to promulgate guidelines for the implementation of this Executive Order.
- These guidelines must be disseminated to all concerned agencies.
- The timeline for issuance of these guidelines is within one (1) month from the date of the Executive Order.
Repeal and Modification of Inconsistent Issuances
- Any prior issuances that conflict with this Executive Order are repealed or modified accordingly.
- This ensures legal clarity and uniform application of the order throughout all related transportation projects and agencies.
