Geographic division into Compostela and Nabunturan
- Section 1 divides the Municipality of Compostela into two municipalities: one retains the name “Compostela” and the other is “Municipality of Nabunturan.”
- Section 1 sets the seat of government of the new Municipality of Nabunturan at the present barrio of Nabunturan.
- Section 2 defines the boundary line by specific reference points and monuments.
- Section 2 directs that the boundary runs straight northwesterly from Municipal Boundary Monument No. 15 on the boundary between the present Municipality of Compostela and the Municipality of Pantukan.
- Section 2 continues the boundary to Barrio Boundary Monument No. 4, located near the barrio of Siocon, and then to Municipal Boundary Monument No. 7 on the boundary between the present Municipality of Compostela and the Municipality of Monkayo.
Territorial composition of Nabunturan
- Section 3 states that the Municipality of Nabunturan contains the barrios of Linoan, Pangotosan, Magading, Cabidianan, Manat, Kaw, Mainit, Andili, Nuevo Iloco, Sao-sao, Libasan, and Nabunturan.
- Section 3 provides that Nabunturan also includes the sitios of Matilo, Anislagan, New Leyte, Guisok, Tabontabon, Sasa and Linda.
Territorial adjustment and Compostela governance changes
- Section 4 provides that the Municipality of Compostela shall have its present territory minus the portion included in the Municipality of Nabunturan.
- Section 4 requires the transfer of the seat of government, now temporarily at the barrio of Nabunturan, to Compostela proper.
- Section 4 prohibits Compostela from thereafter constructing or establishing any public building, plaza, or playground within Compostela proper.
- Section 4 limits the prohibition’s location to Compostela proper being a patented area owned by a single individual.
Transitional officials and assumption of roles
- Section 5 provides that the present mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors of Compostela who are now in the barrio of Nabunturan shall act, respectively, as mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors of the new Municipality of Nabunturan.
- Section 5 limits the continuity of these officials by stating they shall act until the expiration of their term of office.
- Section 5 provides that the substitutes in the Municipality of Compostela shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines.
- Section 5 establishes that the presidential appointees shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected in the next regular election of provincial and municipal officials, and shall have qualified.
