Conduct and Supervision of Plebiscite
- The plebiscite supervised by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) pursuant to Ordinance No. 37, Series of 2011, ratified the creation of Barangay Canumay West and Barangay Canumay East.
- This plebiscite complies with the requirements under Section 10 of Republic Act No. 7160 (Local Government Code of 1991).
Barangay Officials
- The incumbent elected barangay officials of Barangay Canumay West and Barangay Canumay East shall continue to hold office until their successors are duly elected and qualified.
Public Infrastructure and Facilities
- All existing public infrastructure and facilities within the area at the time of approval are transferred without cost or compensation to the newly created barangays.
- The new barangays will manage and administer these public properties.
Internal Revenue Allotment Shares
- Both Barangay Canumay West and Barangay Canumay East are entitled to Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) shares pursuant to Section 285 of Republic Act No. 7160.
Effectivity
- The law shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
