Centralizing Gov't IT Projects at NCC

Executive Order No. 37 invokes the Administrative Code of 1987, which empowers the President to reorganize the Office of the President and to transfer functions from one department or agency to another.
Executive Order No. 37 establishes a pressing need for an integrated government computerization program coordinating existing government entities.
Executive Order No. 37 requires coordination, integration, modification, modernization, and acceleration of all Information Technology (IT) programs and projects of the Philippines.
Executive Order No. 37 mandates a central body to oversee coordination, integration, and implementation of government IT programs and projects.
The central oversight is intended to enhance planning and use of computer resources with high quality and cost efficiency as major considerations.

Section 1 requires all National Government Agencies (NGAs) to integrate their IT programs and projects with the government information infrastructure (GII) spearheaded by the NCC.
