Designation of UnionBank Plaza as IT Building

Republic Act No. 7916 authorizes the creation and designation of information technology buildings within the statutory PEZA framework.
Republic Act No. 8748 amends Republic Act No. 7916 and forms part of the legal basis for the designation.
The designation is made subject to Republic Act No. 7916 as amended, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and PEZA Board resolutions.
The PEZA Board resolutions governing the designation include PEZA Board of Directors Resolutions Nos. 00-411 and 03-348 dated 29 December 2000 and 22 December 2003, respectively.

The proclamation designates the UnionBank Plaza building as an Information Technology Building.
The UnionBank Plaza building is situated at Meralco Avenue corners Onyx and Sapphire Streets, Ortigas Center, Oranbo, Pasig City.
The building is designated subject to the conditions and coverage rules of Republic Act No. 7916 as amended and its implementing framework.
The proclamation specifies the lot area as 2,093 square meters, more or less.

The designated property is Lot 6, Block 2, PSD-105493, TCT 492675.
The technical description identifies the lot as a portion of Lot 4, Pcs-3488, LRC (GLRO) Record Nos. 699,875 & 917.
The lot is situated in the Barrio of Oranbo, City of Pasig (formerly Municipality of Pasig), Province of Rizal, Island of Luzon.
The lot is bounded by:
- On the E., points 2 to 3 by Road Lot 4.
- On the SE. and S., points 3 to 9 by Road Lot 11.
- On the SW. and W., points 9 to 10 and points 10 to 1 by Road Lot 13.
- On the N., points 1 to 2 by Lot 5, Block 2, all of the subdivision plan.
The proclamation’s metes-and-bounds description begins at a point marked a1a and sets bearings and distances, including (among others) S 89 deg. 10a E., 53.00 m. and N 00 deg. 50a E., 37.18 m. to the point of Beginning.
The technical description references a declination of 0 deg. 50a E, with an original survey date of April 8, 1920 to February 21, 1921, and a subdivision survey date of May 5–22, 1969.
