Restrictions on Vacation Pass Issuance

  • No vacation passes for deployment to the banned countries may be issued while the ban is in effect.

  • The ban on deployment to Nigeria includes the prohibition on Filipino seafarers entering Nigeria onboard vessels operating on liner services calling on Nigerian ports.

Exemptions to the Deployment Ban

  • Workers-on-leave and balik-manggagawa (returning workers) are exempted from the ban across all banned countries mentioned.
  • For newly hired household service workers (HSWs), deployment to Jordan is temporarily suspended.
  • Balik-manggagawa HSWs returning to the same employer in Jordan are exempted, provided their monthly salary is not less than US$400.00.
