Required Data on Taximeter Receipts

  • Modified data to appear both on manual receipts and printed receipts from taximeters with printers include:
    • Name of Operator
    • Business Name
    • Address
    • Telephone Number
    • Plate Number
    • Date
    • Fare in Philippine Peso
    • Name of Driver on Duty

Compliance Timeline and Enforcement

  • Effective July 1, 2009, taxi units will not be tested or resealed without:
    • Taxi meters equipped with receipt issuing printers, or
    • Proper compliance with the memorandum circular's requirements.
  • Exception: Taxi units with plate numbers ending in 1 and 6 must comply starting June 1, 2009.

Supersession of Inconsistent Issuances

  • All previous issuances inconsistent with this memorandum circular are hereby amended or superseded accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The memorandum circular takes effect immediately upon adoption on January 26, 2009.
