Declaration of Quezon Protected Landscape

The President acts pursuant to powers vested by law and upon the recommendation of the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The protected area is established pursuant to Republic Act No. 7586 (NIPAS Act of 1992).
Administration of the protected area is governed in accordance with the NIPAS Act of 1992.
The proclamation recognizes that protected-area designation is subject to private rights and without prejudice to rights of indigenous people under Republic Act No. 8371 (Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act).
The proclamation expressly references DENR Administrative Order No. 02, Series of 1993 as part of the rules to which the designation is subject, together with other related rules and regulations, if any there be.
The proclamation uses the DENR NIPAS Map RO-4A-3 for the technical description basis.

The proclamation declares Quezon Memorial Park as a protected area under the category of Protected Landscape.
The proclamation states that the protected area is subject to private rights and must not prejudice indigenous peoples’ rights under Republic Act No. 8371.

The proclamation gives the location in geographic coordinates 13A58'00" to 14A01'00" North latitude and 121A47'00" to 121A50'00" East longitude.
The boundary description proceeds through designated corners 1 to 92 and returns to corner 1.
The protected area contains an area of NINE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY THREE (983) hectares, more or less, subject to actual ground survey and delineation.

The Quezon Protected Landscape is placed under the management jurisdiction of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
The protected landscape is administered in accordance with the provisions of the NIPAS Act of 1992.
