- The law provides detailed technical descriptions and boundary points of Pinsal Falls.
- The designated area covers approximately seventy-five and 29/100 (75.29) hectares.
- Coordinates and distances are specified to delineate the geographic scope of the tourist site.
Preparation of Tourism Development Plan
- Within one year from the law's approval, the DOT, in coordination with local government units and other government agencies, must prepare a tourism development plan.
- The plan includes the construction, installation, and maintenance of infrastructure and facilities to promote tourism.
- The development plan must ensure the preservation and conservation of the natural beauty and resources of Pinsal Falls.
- All activities and developments must conform to the national ecotourism strategy jointly issued by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and DOT.
Implementation and Promotion of the Tourism Development Plan
- The DOT and its attached agencies are mandated to take immediate steps for the implementation of the tourism development plan.
- The plan should align with the natural characteristics of Pinsal Falls.
- Pinsal Falls must be included in DOT’s national, regional, and local tourism promotion programs.
Funding and Inclusion in DOT Programs
- The Secretary of the DOT shall ensure that the implementation of this Act is included in the Department’s program.
- Funding for the development will be sourced from the annual General Appropriations Act and DOT’s internally generated funds.
Issuance of Rules and Regulations for Implementation
- Within sixty (60) days from the effectivity of the law, the Secretary of the DOT, in consultation with the Santa Maria local government, shall promulgate rules and regulations for the law’s proper implementation.
Amendments to Inconsistent Laws and Regulations
- Any existing laws, rules, regulations, proclamations, or executive orders inconsistent with this Act are amended accordingly to conform with this law’s provisions.
Effectivity of the Law
- The law shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation.
