Responsibilities for Commemorative Activities
- The provincial government of Marinduque and the Municipal Government of Boac are tasked to lead the commemorative programs.
- Coordination with the National Historical Institute is required to ensure appropriateness and meaningfulness of the activities.
- Officials and employees from national, provincial, and municipal government agencies and instrumentalities must participate.
- Civic, religious, nongovernment, business, and civil society organizations are encouraged to take part.
- The activities aim to honor the heroes and heroines of the Battle of Paye.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval.
- The law was approved on November 10, 2009, following its passage by the House of Representatives and the Senate on November 17, 2008, and August 24, 2009, respectively.
