General Aguinaldo Centennial Year Act

Recognized as the first and only President of the first Republic of the Philippines.
His presidency marked the establishment of the first democratic republic in Asia.
He led the Philippine revolution against Spanish colonial rule.
Successfully achieved Philippine independence following over three and a half centuries of Spanish domination.
Despite this, the independence was lost due to the Philippine-American War, influenced by the superior military strength of the United States.
Aguinaldo is honored as a patriot, revolution leader, and statesman deserving of the Filipino people's enduring gratitude.

A total of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (₱500,000) is appropriated from the National Treasury.
This amount is dedicated to funding the activities for the centennial commemoration.
Funds shall be administered and disbursed by the General Emilio Aguinaldo National Centennial Commission.

The Act takes effect immediately upon approval.
The purpose is to ensure the timely and proper observance of the centennial commemorations throughout the declared year.
