Creation of new municipality
- The barrios of Binuangan, Mabini, Kitamban, Kitambis, Valdiconcha, Mosangot, Dampias, and Nabataan in the Municipality of Salay, Province of Misamis Oriental are separated from Salay.
- The separated barrios constitute a distinct and independent municipality named the Municipality of Binuangan.
- The Municipality of Binuangan is placed in the same province: Misamis Oriental.
- The seat of government of the new municipality is located at the present site of the barrio of Binuangan.
Corporate existence and election rule
- The Municipality of Binuangan acquires corporate existence upon the election and qualification of the first mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors.
- The first municipal officials are elected in the next general elections for local officials.
- For election purposes, the municipal officials of the mother municipality charged with election duties hold office and perform their election duties in accordance with the Revised Election Code.
- Those election-duty officials continue holding office until the first officials of the new municipality are elected and qualified.
