Composition of North Cotabato Province
- North Cotabato is composed of the following municipalities: Pigcawayan, Libungan, Alamada, Midsayap, Kabacan, Carmen, Malalam, M’lang, Tulunan, Makilala, President Roxas, Magpet, Kidapawan, and Pikit.
Composition of Maguindanao Province
- Maguindanao includes the municipalities of Buldon, Parang, Sultan Kudarat, Tumbao, Upi, Dinaig, Datu Piang, Maganoy, Pagalungan, Buluan, Ampatuan, Sultan sa Barongis, and the newly created town of Datu Paglas.
Composition of Sultan Kudarat Province
- Sultan Kudarat consists of the municipalities of Tacurong, Isulan, Lutayan, Bagumbayan, Kalamansig, Lebak, Columbio, Palimbang, and the newly established towns of President Quirino, Mariano Marcos, and Esperanza.
Provincial Capitals
- The capitals of the newly created provinces are designated as follows:
- North Cotabato: Kidapawan
- Maguindanao: Maganoy
- Sultan Kudarat: Isulan
Applicability of Laws to New Provinces
- All existing and future legal provisions applicable to regular provinces in the Philippines shall also apply to North Cotabato, Maguindanao, and Sultan Kudarat unless otherwise provided.
Transition of Provincial Officials
- The incumbent governor and provincial officials of the original Cotabato Province shall immediately assume administration of North Cotabato.
- Until the President appoints officials for Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat, the current officials shall continue to administer all three provinces.
Distribution of Assets and Liabilities
- Upon the decree's effectivity, the President shall allocate the proportionate shares of obligations, funds, assets, and properties from the former Cotabato Province to the new provinces.
- Such transfers shall be based on recommendations from the Auditor General.
Effectivity of the Decree
- The division and all provisions under this decree take immediate effect on the date stated.
Subsequent Administrative Order on Territorial Jurisdiction
- Related to this decree, the Bureau of Lands issued Lands Administrative Order No. 1-10 (e) 3 re-defining the territorial jurisdiction of the District Land Officer in Cotabato, effective January 14, 1974.
