Territory and Provincial Capital Rules
- Section 3 sets the provincial capital of South Cotabato as the Municipality of Koronadal.
- Section 3 requires that the capitol building and all other national and provincial offices of South Cotabato shall be established within the government lots in Koronadal.
- Section 3 provides that the provincial capital of Cotabato shall be the Municipality of Pagalungan.
- Section 3 provides a transitional capital rule: until the necessary buildings for the Provincial Government of Cotabato are constructed, the City of Cotabato shall continue as the capital of Cotabato.
Election and Organization of South Cotabato
- Section 4 provides that the first provincial governor, vice-governor, and members of the Provincial Board of South Cotabato shall be elected in the local elections in 1967.
- Section 4 directs that the officers and employees needed to organize the government personnel of South Cotabato shall be appointed as provided by law.
Representation in the House of Representatives
- Section 5 provides that Cotabato and South Cotabato each have one representative in the House of Representatives.
- Section 5 states that the incumbent Member of the House representing the present Province of Cotabato shall continue to represent said province until the expiration of his term of office.
- Section 5 provides that the representative for South Cotabato shall be elected in a special election held simultaneously with the local elections in November 1967.
- Section 5 provides that the person elected in the special election shall hold office until December 30, 1969.
Division of Assets and Obligations
- Section 6 requires that upon the effectivity of this Act, the obligations, funds, assets, and other properties of the present Province of Cotabato shall be divided proportionately between Cotabato and South Cotabato.
- Section 6 assigns the division to the President of the Philippines upon the recommendation of the Auditor General.
Effectivity
- Section 7 provides that this Act takes effect upon its approval.
- The Act was approved July 18, 1966.
