Duties and Functions of the Deputy Minister
- Supervises the activities of the Integrated National Police (INP) and the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM).
- Promotes coordination and cooperation between INP, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and local executives and authorities.
- Formulates and oversees the implementation of the national law enforcement program.
- Monitors INP activities to ensure effectiveness as a major law enforcement agency.
- Supervises INP units or personnel assigned to civilian government agencies or private entities.
- Performs additional functions as assigned by the Minister of National Defense.
Financial Provisions for the Office
- Authorizes an appropriation of Two Million Pesos (P2,000,000.00) for the operation of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Police Matters for the year 1984.
- Funds to be sourced from unprogrammed funds or appropriations allocated to MOND.
Effectivity of the Order
- The Executive Order takes effect immediately upon issuance.
