Appointment and Initial Governance
- Upon the approval of the Act, the President of the Philippines is empowered to appoint the initial local officials: mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors.
- These appointed officials shall serve until their duly elected successors have qualified for office.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act becomes effective immediately upon its approval.
