- The law establishes a local government reorganization by separating named barangays from the existing municipality of Balabagan and constituting them as an independent municipality known as the Municipality of Kapatagan under Section 1.

- The municipality is created in the same province of Lanao del Sur under Section 1.

- The law sets the municipality’s external boundaries under Section 2 by describing the East and West boundary line between the Province of Lanao del Sur and the Province of Cotabato, starting from the “summit of Mount Bita” and following specified natural features and boundary lines under Section 2.
Geographic boundaries and metes described
