Territorial Boundaries of the Municipality
- The municipality’s boundary defined by natural landmarks such as mountains, ridges, rivers, and barangay boundaries.
- The boundary starts at Ulling Mountain and follows a detailed course covering various barangays and sites within Ifugao.
- All areas within the described boundary constitute the territory of the new municipality.
Plebiscite for Municipal Creation
- A plebiscite must be held in the affected barangays within 120 days from the Act’s final approval.
- The creation of the municipality is subject to majority vote approval by the residents.
- Upon affirmation, officials including Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Sangguniang Bayan members will be appointed.
Administration and Funding for Plebiscite
- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is responsible for conducting and supervising the plebiscite.
- All expenses for the plebiscite will be covered by the concerned local government units.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act takes effect immediately upon its approval by the President.
