Corporate Existence and Election of Officials

The Municipality of Banaybanay gains corporate existence upon the election and qualification of its first set of municipal officials: mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors.
These elections are to be held during the next scheduled general elections for local officials following the enactment of the law.
Until the first officials of Banaybanay are elected and qualified, the municipal officials of the Municipality of Lupon who have election duties as per the Revised Election Code shall continue to hold office for election-related functions.

Effectivity of the Act

The Act takes effect immediately upon its approval.
It was enacted without the approval of the Executive on June 21, 1969.
