Creation of Malungon Municipality
- Section 1 separates the following barrios and sitios from the Municipality of General Santos in South Cotabato and constitutes them into a distinct and independent municipality: Lower Malungon, Mantao, Lower Mantao, Cafiatuan, Lutay,, Tamban, Lampanal Malandag, Alta-i, and Lubay.
- The new municipality is known as the Municipality of Malungon, in the Province of South Cotabato.
- Section 1 sets the seat of government of Malungon in the present site of Barrio Malungon.
Territorial Boundaries of Malungon
- Section 1 defines Malungon’s boundaries starting from a point on the summit of Mt. Matutum.
- The boundary route proceeds by these successive lines and landmarks:
- From Mt. Matutum to the summit of Mt. Magolo (Atmodok).
- Then along the watershed dividing waters flowing into the Davao Gulf and waters flowing into Sarangani Bay, to a point directly east of Mt. Latian.
- Then by a direct line west to the summit of Mt. Latian.
- Then by a straight line directly back to the summit of Mt. Matutum, the point of beginning.
Special Election of Local Officials
- Section 2 requires electing the first mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors of the new municipality through a special election.
- Section 2 provides that the special election must coincide with the elections of November, nineteen hundred and sixty-nine.
