Qualifications and Compensation of District Attorneys
- District attorneys are appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments of the National Assembly.
- Each district attorney receives an annual salary of eight thousand pesos.
- Appointment qualifications are the same as those required for judges of courts of first instance.
Administrative Support and Compensation
- The Secretary of Justice may employ clerical assistance for the district attorney's office.
- Compensation for clerical personnel is determined by the Secretary of Justice as necessary.
Appropriations and Funding
- An appropriation of ninety thousand pesos is allocated from the Philippine Treasury.
- Funds cover salaries, per diems, travel expenses, purchase of materials, equipment, and other miscellaneous expenses.
- The appropriation is valid until June 30, 1941.
Repeal of Conflicting Laws
- Section 1674-A of the Administrative Code and Act Number 4165 are repealed.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval on May 26, 1940.
