Authority, title, enactment, and effectivity
- Republic Act No. 2871 is titled “AN ACT CREATING CERTAIN BARRIOS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ANILAO, PROVINCE OF ILOILO.”
- Republic Act No. 2871 was enacted on June 19, 1960.
- Section 2 provides that the Act takes effect upon its approval.
- The Act was enacted without Executive approval, on June 19, 1960.
- The Act is referenced as H. No. 3971 / 57 OG No. 11, 1949 (March 13, 1961).
Legal consequences of enactment
- Each constituted barangay is established as a distinct and independent barrio within Anilao.
- Section 1 operationally changes the administrative status of the listed sitios by constituting them into the named barrios.
