Creation of Barangay Talon Tres, Las Pinas

The subdivisions known as Carmencita, Paramount, Admiral Park, Pelayo, Aristocrat, Doña Purisima and Golden Gate in Barangay Talon are detached and separated to form a distinct and independent barangay.
The newly created barangay is known as Barangay Talon Tres.
The creation of Barangay Talon Tres does not affect the legal existence of the mother barangay Barangay Talon in any manner.

Section 2 provides that, except as otherwise provided, all provisions of law applicable to regular barangays apply to Barangay Talon Tres.
The rule applies to both “law now” and “law hereafter” applicable to regular barangays.

Section 3 provides that the present elective barangay officials of Barangay Talon continue to perform their duties as officials in the newly created Barangay Talon Tres.
The continuity lasts until the barangay officials of Barangay Talon Tres are appointed by the President.
The appointed officials hold office until their successors are elected in the regular barangay elections following the issuance of this decree.
Appointed officials hold office until they have qualified, and they serve unless sooner removed at the pleasure of the President.
The necessary appointive officers and employees to organize or complete the government personnel of Barangay Talon Tres are appointed under existing laws.

Upon the effectivity of the decree, Barangay Talon Tres receives a proportionate share of Barangay Talon’s obligations, funds, assets, and other property.
The transfer is made by the President upon the recommendation of the Commission on Audit.

Section 5 repeals or modifies all laws or parts of laws, and all executive orders or regulations, that are inconsistent with Presidential Decree No. 1336.
Section 6 provides that the decree takes effect immediately.
The decree is dated April 03, 1978 and is signed as executed “Done in the City of Manila this 3rd day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-eight.”
