Applicability of Existing Barangay Laws
- All existing and future laws applicable to regular barangays shall apply to Barangay Talon Singko.
- This ensures uniform governance and legal treatment consistent with other barangays.
Transitional Arrangement for Barangay Officials
- The current elected officials of Barangay Talon will continue to serve in Barangay Talon Singko until new officials are appointed by the President.
- Presidential appointees will hold office until their successors are elected in the next regular barangay elections and have qualified.
- These appointees may be removed by the President at will.
- Additional appointive officers and employees necessary for government operations in Barangay Talon Singko shall be appointed as per existing laws.
Transfer of Assets, Liabilities, and Property
- Upon effectivity of the decree, Barangay Talon Singko will receive a proportionate share of obligations, funds, assets, and other properties from Barangay Talon.
- This transfer is subject to recommendation by the Commission on Audit.
Repeal of Inconsistent Laws and Provisions
- Any laws, parts of laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with this decree are repealed or modified accordingly.
Effectivity Clause
- The decree takes immediate effect from the date of signing, April 3, 1978.
