Creation of Barangay Talon Dos in Las Pinas

All laws applicable to regular barangays, whether existing or enacted in the future, apply equally to Barangay Talon Dos.
This ensures that Barangay Talon Dos functions under the legal framework provided for barangays in the Philippines.

The current elective officials of Barangay Talon shall continue serving in Barangay Talon Dos temporarily.
The President will appoint officials to Barangay Talon Dos who will serve until successors are elected in the next regular barangay elections.
These appointees hold office at the President's pleasure and may be removed at any time.
Additional appointive officers and employees necessary for the organization and operation of Barangay Talon Dos shall be appointed in accordance with existing laws.

Upon the decree's effectivity, Barangay Talon Dos will receive its proportionate share of obligations, funds, assets, and other properties from Barangay Talon.
This transfer is to be executed by the President based on recommendations from the Commission on Audit.

Any laws, decrees, executive orders, or regulations that conflict with this decree are expressly repealed or modified as necessary.

The decree takes effect immediately on the date of signing, i.e., April 3, 1978.
