Territorial Boundaries of Barangay San Luis
- The new barangay's territory is defined by specific natural and man-made boundaries.
- Boundaries include Marcos Highway, Dao Creek and Tagbae River, Kay Naog Road, Maguey Road, San Luis Road, Buliran Road, and Barangay San Isidro.
Plebiscite Requirement and Appointment of Officials
- A plebiscite must be conducted within 120 days from the approval of the Act.
- The plebiscite involves voting in the affected area, requiring a majority vote for the Act’s ratification.
- Upon ratification, the President of the Philippines will appoint the first set of Barangay San Luis officials.
- The appointed officials will serve until their successors are elected and qualified in the next regular barangay election.
Conduct of Plebiscite and Funding
- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is tasked with conducting and supervising the plebiscite.
- Expenses for the plebiscite will be charged to COMELEC’s appropriations from the current annual General Appropriations Act dedicated to plebiscites.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act becomes effective immediately upon its approval by the appropriate authority.
