Applicability of Laws to Barangay San Antonio

  • All existing and future laws applicable to regular barangays shall apply to Barangay San Antonio except where otherwise provided.

Governance and Appointment of Officials

  • Current elective barangay officials of Barangay San Dionisio will perform their duties in Barangay San Antonio temporarily.
  • The President will appoint barangay officials for San Antonio who will hold office until successors are elected in regular barangay elections and qualified.
  • Appointed officials serve at the President's pleasure and may be removed anytime.
  • Additional appointive officers and employees will be appointed as needed following existing laws.

Transfer of Obligations, Funds, and Properties

  • Upon the decree’s effectivity, the share of Barangay San Antonio in Barangay San Dionisio’s obligations, funds, assets, and other properties is transferred by the President.
  • Such transfer is based on the recommendation of the Commission on Audit.

Repeal and Modification of Conflicting Laws

  • Any laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with this decree are repealed or modified accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The decree takes effect immediately upon issuance.
