Scope and creation of a new barangay

- Section 2 defines Barangay New Alabang Village by a detailed boundary description using surrounding lots, roads, and municipalities.
- The boundaries cover lands within Muntinlupa Cadastral Mapping identified as NCad-593-D.
- The cadastral boundary description establishes a starting point marked “1” and enumerates bearings and distances proceeding through points 2 to 53.
- The described area of Barangay New Alabang Village is 656.6573 hectares under Section 2.
First officials and interim governance
- The first officials of Barangay New Alabang Village are appointed by the President of the Philippines under Section 3.
- The first officials hold office until their successors shall have appointed and qualified under Section 3.
Plebiscite requirement for existence
- The new barangay exists only if a majority of the votes cast in a plebiscite favors creation under Section 4.
- The plebiscite must be conducted in the unit affected under the supervision of the Commission on Elections under Section 4.
- The plebiscite must be held within six months from the effectivity of this Act under Section 4.
- The Commission on Elections defrays the expenses for the plebiscite under Section 4.
