Applicability of Existing Barangay Laws

  • All current or future laws applicable to regular barangays also apply to Barangay Don Bosco.
  • Ensures legal and administrative parity with other barangays.

Initial Governance and Appointment of Officials

  • The current elective officials of Barangay La Huerta temporarily continue their duties in Barangay Don Bosco.
  • The President will appoint officials to serve until successors are elected in regular barangay elections.
  • Appointed officials hold office until the elected officials qualify or are removed by the President.
  • Additional appointive officers and employees necessary for Barangay Don Bosco’s government may be appointed under existing laws.

Transfer of Assets, Obligations, and Property

  • Upon the decree's effectivity, Barangay Don Bosco will receive a proportionate share of Barangay La Huerta's obligations, funds, assets, and property.
  • Transfer is executed by the President based on the recommendation of the Commission on Audit.

Repeal and Modification of Inconsistent Laws

  • Any law, executive order, or regulation inconsistent with this decree is repealed or modified accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The decree takes effect immediately upon its issuance.
