Applicability of Barangay Laws
- All existing and future laws applicable to regular barangays equally apply to Barangay Balong-Bato unless otherwise stated.
Governance and Appointment of Officials
- Current elective barangay officials of Barangay Apolonio Samson continue to perform their duties in Barangay Balong-Bato until new officials are appointed.
- The President is empowered to appoint barangay officials for Balong-Bato who will hold office until their successors are elected in the next regular barangay elections and are duly qualified.
- Such appointed officials may be removed at the discretion of the President.
- Additional appointive officers and employees necessary for the organization and operation of Barangay Balong-Bato shall be appointed according to existing laws.
Transfer of Obligations, Funds, and Assets
- Upon effectivity of the decree, the proportionate share of obligations, funds, assets, and other properties belonging to Barangay Apolonio Samson shall be transferred to Barangay Balong-Bato.
- The transfer will be executed by the President upon recommendation of the Commission on Audit.
Repeal and Modification of Conflicting Laws
- Any laws, parts of laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with the provisions of this decree are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The decree takes effect immediately upon issuance.
