Composition of the National Intelligence Board
- Chairman: Director of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency.
- Members:
- Director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
- Chief of the Division of Intelligence and Research, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
- Assistant Chief of Staff, J-2, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
- Technical Advisers:
- Assistant Chiefs of Staff for Intelligence from all major services of the AFP.
- Representatives from the Presidential Economic Staff and the Presidential Agency for Reforms and Government Operations.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Advise the Director of NICA on the integration and coordination of all intelligence activities.
- Make recommendations on various subjects related to intelligence as may be submitted by the NICA Director for study and consideration.
Legal Authority and Formality
- The creation was pursuant to the powers vested in the President by law.
- Formalized and signed by President Ferdinand E. Marcos and the Acting Executive Secretary.
- Establishes a structured mechanism for intelligence coordination at the national level.
