Appointment and Promotion Grades of Professors
- Professors are initially appointed at the rank of Major.
- Eligible for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel after six years as Major, and Colonel after seven years as Lieutenant Colonel.
- The Dean is given priority promotion or advancement to maintain seniority.
- Colonel is the highest rank achievable for professors.
Appointment and Promotion Grades of Associate and Assistant Professors
- Initially appointed as Captain with academic title of assistant professor.
- Eligible for promotion to Major after five years as Captain.
- Eligible for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel after six years as Major.
- Lieutenant Colonel is the highest rank for assistant and associate professors.
- Associate professors may be promoted to professor when vacancies exist, with corresponding military seniority adjustments.
Transfer and Appointment of Officers from Regular or Reserve Forces
- Officers from regular or reserve forces can transfer to the Corps upon their application.
- They retain their military grade or are appointed at the appropriate grade if lower.
- The Chief of Staff may assign officers temporarily as special professors without severing ties with their original units.
- Officers assigned temporarily are not subject to Corps promotion rules.
Recognition of Prior Service and Benefits
- For promotion purposes, prior service in academic roles at PMA is credited.
- Members receive the same pay, allowances, retirement rights, and privileges as other Regular Force officers.
- Executive Order No. 361 (August 6, 1941) is revoked by this order.

- Issued by the President under powers granted by the National Defense Act, as amended, and Republic Act No. 291.
- Executed by President Elpidio Quirino on November 21, 1953, in Manila.
