Republic Act No. 7901 created the Caraga Administrative Region, consisting of certain provinces and cities, with Butuan City as its regional center, and transferred Surigao del Sur to Region XI.

Continuation of Regional Privileges

  • All existing privileges under regional rules and regulations shall remain in force.
  • No diminution or loss of rights due to the creation of the new region.

Repealing Clause

  • All laws, decrees, orders, rules, regulations, or parts inconsistent with this Act are repealed or amended accordingly.

Separability Clause

  • If any part of this Act is declared unconstitutional or invalid, such declaration does not affect the validity of other provisions.

Effectivity Clause

  • The Act takes effect immediately upon approval by the President of the Philippines.
