Legal basis and authority invoked
- Executive Order No. 460 is issued pursuant to Section sixty-eight of the Revised Administrative Code.
- The President orders the segregation and organization of specified barrios into an independent municipality.
Reorganization: segregation of barrios
- The barrios of Aurora, Bagacay, Bagumbayan, Bayong, Buena Suerte, Cagawasan, Catagdaan, Estaca, Ilaud, Lungsod Daan, Pamacsalan, Rizal, and San Carlos, all of the municipality of Sierra-Bullones, are segregated to form part of the Municipality of Pilar.
- San Isidro of the municipality of Ubay is segregated to form part of the Municipality of Pilar.
- Lundag of the municipality of Guindulman is segregated to form part of the Municipality of Pilar.
- Inaghuban of the municipality of Candijay is segregated to form part of the Municipality of Pilar.
Creation of Municipality of Pilar
- The segregated barrios are organized into an independent municipality to be known as the Municipality of Pilar.
- The Municipality of Pilar is located within the Province of Bohol.
- The Municipality of Pilar is established with its seat of government at the barrio of Lungsod Daan.
- The municipality’s legal existence starts when its required local officials are appointed and qualified: the mayor, vice-mayor, and a majority of the councilors.
Territorial adjustments for parent municipalities
- Sierra-Bullones shall have its present territories reduced by the portions comprised in the territory of the Municipality of Pilar.
- Ubay shall have its present territories reduced by the portions comprised in the territory of the Municipality of Pilar.
- Guindulman shall have its present territories reduced by the portions comprised in the territory of the Municipality of Pilar.
- Candijay shall have its present territories reduced by the portions comprised in the territory of the Municipality of Pilar.
