Powers and Functions

  • Authorized to meet at the Chairman's call.
  • Empowered to request information and assistance from any government department, bureau, office, agency, or instrumentality.
  • Authorized to secure personnel, funds, and equipment necessary for its functions.
  • Tasked to study, examine, harmonize existing labor laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Deliver recommendations for the amendment, revision, and codification of labor and social legislation.

Reporting Requirement

  • The Committee must submit its findings and recommendations to the President.
  • Submission deadline: Before the opening of the regular session of Congress.
