Territorial Boundaries and Description
- Northeast boundary: along lines 7-1 and 1-2, approximately 2,200 meters, adjacent to Barrio Puypuy.
- Southeast boundary: along lines 2-3-4, about 1,700 meters, alongside Ulik Creek (13 meters wide), bordering the municipality of Calauan.
- Southwest boundary: along line 4-5, approximately 1,700 meters, adjacent to Barrio Tranca.
- Northwest boundary: along lines 5-6 and 6-7, approximately 1,500 meters, following Canbantok Creek, adjacent to Barrio Maitim, municipality of Bay.
- The barrio covers approximately 321 hectares.
- The boundaries and lines were established and surveyed by Surveyor Mariano A. Foliente, Office of the District Engineer, Laguna.
Specific Boundary Markers and Points
- Corner 1: Center point of the Irrigation Canal Concrete Culvert across Puypuy-Batangas Road.
- Corner 2: Center of Canlubang Prenza Dam across Ulik Creek.
- Corner 3: Center point of the Steel Bridge of the Manila Railroad across Ulik Creek.
- Corner 4: Cacawate post, 20 cm wide, on left bank of Ulik Creek, on Maria Delfino's land.
- Corner 5: Bulak tree, 25 cm diameter, on right bank of Canbantok Creek, boundary of property of Cipriano Mendoza and Leocadio Ramos.
- Corner 6: Center point of the Steel Bridge (Manila Railroad) across Canbantok Creek.
- Corner 7: Cacawate post planted on right bank of Canbantok Creek on Juan Calcetasa's land.
Effect on Existing Barrios
- Barrios Puypuy and Tranca, previously including sitio Masaya, will retain their territories minus the portion now constituted as barrio Masaya.
Effectivity
- The creation and establishment of barrio Masaya shall take effect immediately upon issuance.
Administrative Authority and Formalization
- Executed and signed by the President of the Philippines, Carlos P. Garcia.
- Formal promulgation done in Manila on February 16, 1959.
