Legal Basis and Authority
- The proclamation is made pursuant to Republic Act No. 7916, known as the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995, as amended by Republic Act No. 8748.
- The designation follows the recommendation of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Board of Directors.
Applicable Rules and Regulations
- The Special Economic Zone shall be subject to RA No. 7916 and its implementing rules and regulations.
- It is also governed by several PEZA Board resolutions including Resolution No. 00-411 (s. 2000), Resolution Nos. 11-066 (s. 2011), 15-240 (s. 2015), 17-472 (s. 2017), 18-176 (s. 2018), and 19-382 (s. 2019).
Technical Description of Land Parcels
- The designated area consists of two parcels of land: Lot 85 and Lot 81 under subdivision plan Psd-12396, located in Barangay Mandalagan, City of Bacolod, Island of Negros.
- Lot 85 covers approximately 1,000 square meters with boundaries defined by adjacent lots and Lacson Street.
- Lot 81 covers approximately 1,054 square meters with defined boundaries including Lacson Street and B.S. Aquino Drive.
Survey and Approval Details
- Both lots were surveyed by Engineer Ferdinand G. Quilop on March 24, 2017.
- The survey was approved on December 11, 2018.
- Boundaries are marked on the ground with old Philippine Survey cylindrical concrete monuments.
Official Authentication
- The proclamation was signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on August 26, 2020, in Manila.
- The document was also signed by Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea.
- The seal of the Republic of the Philippines was affixed to authenticate the proclamation.
