Separation and conversion mandate
- The Valenzuela National High School - Arkong Bato Annex in Barangay Arkong Bato, City of Valenzuela, Metro Manila is separated from the Valenzuela National High School.
- The Arkong Bato Annex is converted into an independent national high school.
- The independent school is to be known as Arkong Bato National High School.
Transfer of personnel, assets, and records
- All personnel of the Arkong Bato Annex are transferred to and absorbed by Arkong Bato National High School.
- All assets of the Arkong Bato Annex are transferred to and absorbed by Arkong Bato National High School.
- All liabilities of the Arkong Bato Annex are transferred to and absorbed by Arkong Bato National High School.
- All records of the Arkong Bato Annex are transferred to and absorbed by Arkong Bato National High School.
Funding and appropriations procedure
- The Secretary of Education shall immediately include in the Department’s program the operationalization of Arkong Bato National High School.
- The initial funding for operationalization is charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Valenzuela National High School - Arkong Bato Annex.
- After the initial funding, the amount necessary for continued operation of the school is included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Implementation and rules
- The Secretary of Education shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of the Act.
Enactment approvals and passage milestones
- The Act originated in the House of Representatives.
- The Act was finally passed by the House of Representatives on November 17, 2008.
- The Act was finally passed by the Senate on April 22, 2009.
