Conversion of the school
- Section 1 converts the Siocon National High School in Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Siocon, Province of Zamboanga del Norte into a national science high school.
- The converted school is to be known as Siocon National Science High School (Section 1).
Transfer and absorption of school resources
- Section 2 transfers and absorbs to the Siocon National Science High School all personnel, assets, liabilities and records of the Siocon National High School.
- The transfer is effected by law upon conversion, with the national science high school standing as the absorbing entity (Section 2).
Department of Education operationalization and funding
- The Secretary of Education must immediately include the operationalization of the Siocon National Science High School in the Department’s program (Section 3).
- The initial funding of the operationalization must be charged against the current year’s appropriations of the Siocon National High School (Section 3).
- The amount necessary for the continued operation of the school must be included in the annual General Appropriations Act thereafter (Section 3).
Implementing rules and regulations timeline
- The Secretary of Education must issue the rules and regulations implementing Republic Act No. 11629 within ninety (90) days from the approval of the Act (Section 4).
